It's been so long!

I can't believe Christmas is 2 days away, time has been flying way too fast. Work is going GREAT! I love my job, although being around babies all the time makes me have baby fever. I have 4 weeks of orientation left, which is exciting and scary. I start working 7pm to 7am in 2 weeks, hopefully I will get used to it soon.
Berlin is getting SO big. Here she is on Halloween since I never posted then, she was the cutest Wonder Woman! She turns 3 January 31st, which just blows my mind! She is counting so well, and says the funniest things like "I can easily do a head stand". Apparently Daddy is her boyfriend too. We adopted to kittens in October, Jedi and Aslan. They are the best little boys, and we all love them so much. Berlin and Jedi have a extra special bond.

So we bought our first house in September. Moving in and decorating has gone well. I love my home, and plan on raising all of my children here. I can't wait till Spring so we can do some landscaping!

So Jake and I usually buy gifts for eachother together. I know it's not really traditional and there is no suprise, but that way we get what we want. So this year for Christmas we got some furniture for our house. We got the couch for in front of the fire place. I can't wait to light a fire tonight, it will be so cozy.

The other thing we bought was a dining table. We are having Christmas breakfast at our house this year, so it couldn't have come at a better time. I can't wait to have it full of good food and all my family!

This piano was given to me from a family friend. It was her mother's, and I'm sure it's at least 60 years old. I love it. I wish I knew how to play. Hopefully this year my sister Sarah will teach me!

Life is going good. I can't wait for Christmas, too celebrate Jesus' birth with all our friends and family. Merry Christmas!

Graduation Baby!

So the day has finally arrived. I have been up since 5am, because I am too excited to sleep. Today marks a new path in my life, I will no longer be a student, but a nurse. I will be responsible for people's lives. The last 15 months seem like a whirl-wind. I think back to so many different times, and it seems like yesterday yet also so far away. I have changed along the way. I realize that people can live out their dreams. It might take a lot of work to get there, but it's worth it. I have had the privilege of attending a nursing school that truly wants their students to succeed. I have met some amazing people, and we have all gone through this crazy intense thing together. And even though today is one of the best days in my life, it is still bittersweet. I started nursing school with 29 other people, we gained and lost some along the way, and after today we all go our separate ways. I will be working with a lot of people, but some I may never see again. Also, my good friend Jen is moving back to Missouri. She has been the most up lifting, fun, and free spirited person. Like I've said before, she makes me feel like I am 12 again. I will miss her, but I know we will always be there for each other. OK, I got to get some rest, and save my tears for later.

Hello All

I have always loved blogs, but haven't had the time to devote it. Since I am graduating soon I finally committed to start blogging. I just got my first nursing job in labor and delivery. I will start mid September, and can't wait. Nursing school has been one of the best things I have done with my life. Going into it I didn't even know if nursing was for me, but very soon in the program I knew that I had made the best decision. The past 15 months have been hard though. I have a 2 1/2 lil girl, who is my world. It has been hard not being able to devote all my time to her. It is almost over now, and it has been well worth the sacrifices. I am so ready to start living my life like I have wanted to for so long, days off, vacation, buying a house. The future is bright, and life is going good.
